About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

We are co-hosting an online event with Deaf Unity, where a panel made up of members of our committee will be available to answer any questions you may have about anything to do with the university. Come along to find out more about different Deaf people's experiences at university and watch for tips and advice for university.

All are welcome, regardless of whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate or a prospective student!

See below for some FAQS. If you have any questions, feel free to message us directly via our social media accounts, or send us an email at ukdeafstudentsunion@gmail.com

Frequently asked questions

Will the event be in BSL only?

While the panel will be talking in BSL only, we will have interpreters involved to voice-over the conversations, which will also be captioned. This way, everyone will be able to get involved and watch regardless of BSL-proficiency.

Is it free to join?

Yes, ticket sales here are entirely free to order. A ticket ensures that the Zoom link will be emailed to you ahead of the virtual event.

Will I be on camera?

No, the audience will not have their cameras on. When you join the event, your camera will automatically be off. The only people you will be able to see are the panel. If asking a question, you have the option to have your camera turned on so you can sign out your question if preferred.
