University Mental Health Charter Road Trip: Cardiff
Event Information
Description
From the very outset, we want the Charter to be underpinned by robust evidence and the genuine experiences of our university communities. That’s why we’re organising a road trip; a series of events at universities around the UK which will bring together students, university leaders, academic and professional staff to help bring the Charter to life.
What is the Road Trip?
At each road trip event we will host a series of focus groups facilitated by experienced researchers. Our aim is to generate a rich understanding of the diverse perspectives of the our university communities and answer the question “If universities had the ideal approach to student mental health, what would that look like and how would we know?” The feedback and evidence we collect will be used to build the structure and content of the Charter. Alongside focus groups, the day will include a variety of workshops, an informative keynote, and opportunities to feed into the discussion.
Who can attend?
The events are open to university leaders and staff from all areas of the university, not just those who work in student mental health. We also encourage students, student leaders and student union staff to attend. Students and staff from universities across the region are invited to attend the event at the host university nearest to them.
