This seminar, the 4th in the University of Greenwich LGBT+ Staff Network new Seminar Series 2015-16, is being held following the recent launch of the University of Greenwich Mentoring Scheme and the LGBT+ Staff Network Be-friending Scheme.
The seminar will explore models of mentoring, from formal schemes to informal befriending or support schemes, and the value of these to participants in such schemes. We will also consider the particular value and benefits of such schemes for LGBT+ people and other "minority" or traditionally "under-represented" groups.
