Frequently asked questions
With fantastic transport links, visiting our Preston Campus is a simple and stress-free experience. You can find the Wellness Centre by accessing the Foster Building via the Medical Centre entrance.
Our initial mission is to support local small businesses in promoting a positive health & lifestyle across their workforces; however, we do have limited capacity to deliver to individuals & will be more than happy to chat to you at the event.
Visitors can request a pre-booked space in the Victoria car park, which needs to be arranged in advance by a member of staff. Spaces are limited. A number of pay and display facilities are available on Harrington, Victoria 2 and the Foster car parks
Our primary service is the Health Check, which involves a series of health & lifestyle questionnaires & physical assessments, including blood glucose & cholesterol levels. However, our unique position as a university allows us to grow into a whole array of common health services.
Unfortunately, the Wellness Centre is not equipped to deal with accident & emergency care services.
All practitioners are existing students within the School of Health, Social Work & Sport, studying various subjects, ranging from Bachelor's to PhD level. All have been fully trained, assessed & competency approved to deliver Health Checks.
Yes, all areas of our Wellness Centre are accessible.
