Description

Dr. Hyelim Kim is a UK-based daegeum performer and composer. The daegeum (taegum) is a large bamboo transverse flute which is used in traditional Korean court and folk music as well as contemporary, classical and popular music. She will explore and play various forms of traditional and contemporary Korean music and after the concert there will be a chance for you to ask questions on Korean culture or anything about this delicate and beautiful music that interests you. Hyelim Kim will be accompanied on Korean piri (oboe) and changgo (drum) by Seayool Kim.
