Public Lectures: Population and Migration - Population mapping in low- and middle-income countries - an innovative way to support the Sustainable Development Goals
This exciting event, the final event in the 2018 series, will take place on Tuesday 4 December 2018 in central London and will discuss the "Population mapping in low- and middle income countries".
In this session, our experts will discuss the latest techniques and challenges surrounding population mapping including integrating data from sources such as satellite imagery and mobile phones, and carrying out small area surveys to estimate population numbers and distributions.

Keynote Speakers:
Professor Andy Tatem is Professor of Spatial Demography and Epidemiology at the University of Southampton and is the Director of WorldPop and Flowminder.
Professor Rachel Snow is Branch Chief of Population and Development in the Technical Division of the UNFPA
Dr Chigozie Edson Utazi is a Senior Research Fellow within the WorldPop programme at the University of Southampton.
Following the keynote speakers will be a Q&A panel discussion.
