Description

SPRINT is a 3-year, £4.8m programme to engage UK-based space and space-related SMEs with the aim to initiate funded, collaborative projects with one or more or the five university partners - Surrey, Leicester, Southampton, Edinburgh and the Open University.

Funded by Research England, SPRINT provides funded access to expertise, data and facilities from five of the UK’s leading space-sector universities to support businesses in the innovation and development of new space-enabled technologies and applications.

Space is not just rocket science! Increasingly, space technologies and satellite imagery and data are being utilised in a rapidly increasing range of applications from transport, construction and agriculture, to medicine, environmental sustainability and disaster relief.

SPRINT is a unique opportunity for UK SMEs to access support for space technologies that can create innovative new products and services to transform their commercial future.

Come to visit our event at the Surrey Space Centre, University of Surrey in Guildford to hear from our leading experts and to meet companies involved in services for space and other key sectors.

This event will provide networking opportunities for local SMEs, academics and organisations with a view to forming collaborative partnerships within the SPRINT programme.

Speakers will include the Director of the Surrey Space Centre, Guglielmo ‘G’ Aglietti; Vice-Provost, Research and Innovation, David Sampson and members of the SPRINT team who will present news from current and upcoming SPRINT projects and how SMEs can access funding.
