Event description

Description

What makes a courageous leader? As January marks the start of Scotland’s Year of Young People, the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) bring together young leaders and leaders that work with young people for a discussion on what makes a courageous leader and how we can promote this type of leadership in the health and social service sector.

This will be the first in a series of events around the theme of courageous leadership – aiming to engage people of all ages in creating and growing a vision of courageous leadership that can transform our health and social service sector, and Scottish society more broadly. We welcome people from all backgrounds and ages at this event, and are particularly interested to hear from young people about the kind of leaders they admire and would like to see more of.

This short introductory event will feature speeches from inspiring young people, and group conversations focused on drawing out the key characteristics that make a courageous leader. Everyone has an interest in nurturing courageous leadership in our society – so make sure to join us on 30 January and add your voice to the conversation!

The venue will be open for arrivals from 16:30, with refreshments served before the start of the event at 17:00.
