Celebrating great achievements in cultural education through an extraordinary period of disruption.
About this event
Join Curious Minds for our first ever digital awards ceremony to celebrate the cultural education heroes of the North West, who have been using innovative, imaginative and inspirational ways to keep children and young people creatively engaged during lockdown.
The world as we know it has been turned upside down this year. As a result, more children and young people have been at risk of exclusion and isolation than ever before. We want to take a moment celebrate the extraordinary individuals and organisations that have found new ways to work with, engage and empower young people through creativity at this most challenging time.
From parents to teachers, facilitators to family, this is our chance to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who made a positive difference to a young person’s creative learning and wellbeing this year.
Join us with our host, comedian Ali Kahn, and some very special guests for a celebration ceremony that will feature live performances, discussion, uplifting stories and, of course, the announcement of our Award winners!
There are three awards up for grabs: The Lockdown Innovation Award, the Lockdown Inclusion Award and the Creative @ Home Award. After an incredibly competitive nominations process, the shortlisted finalists in each category can be seen here: https://curiousminds.org.uk/unlockedawards-shortlist/.
We hope to see you there!
