Unlocking Creativity: Embedding Art Across the Curriculum | Part 2 | Public Teacher CPD
Date: Wed 16th July
Time: 6 - 7:30pm
Location: Courtyard Room, Bow Arts Trust
Join artist educator Esther Neslen in part two of her workshop based on her project ‘Think Like an Artist’ in primary schools, providing opportunities to bring creativity into learning. Esther will share her tips and tricks for incorporating art into the classroom in a fun and engaging way.
In the session, Esther will reference her research findings, touching on topics such as:
- Different ways of approaching art activities in classroom settings, starting from: materials, research, or a theme.
- Encouraging and facilitating an open-ended approach to making.
- Embedding creativity in diverse areas of the curriculum.
There will be opportunities to develop these themes with hands-on activities. Esther will be asking participants to use their smartphones for this workshop. If you do not have a smartphone with camera capabilities, please let Bow Arts know in advance.
Cross curricular learning opportunities:
History, Science, Maths, Geography, English, Music and more.
Open to all levels of experience. All materials are provided, and you do not need to bring anything with you.
Please note, this is a two-part series of workshops. Attending both is highly recommended but not essential, as each will make sense on its own.
