This workshop will help demystify social investment, explaining how it can support community sport and sports-based social enterprises.
You’ll learn what social investors look for, how to become investment-ready and provide practical steps to turn your vision into a sustainable, impactful reality.
Who should attend
Anyone involved in running or managing a sports club or community organisation that is:
- Involved in delivering any type of community sport / physical activity (can be affiliated or not affiliated to a National Governing Body)
- Supporting your local community as an un/constituted group, charity, social enterprise or community benefit society
- Generating an income of up to £500k
About the session
This workshop will be delivered by Tom Hall, a social enterprise business advisor that set up Sporting Assets in 2013 to support the community sports sector develop a more enterprising culture.
Formerly worked at Sport England and for a co-op that helped football supporters secure influence and ownership at their football clubs.
- The workshop will be on Zoom. The joining link will be sent in a confirmation email around 1 week before.
- You will receive email reminders from Eventbrite 2 days, 2 hours and 10 minutes before the session starts.
- We’ll send you the presentation slides and any other resources after the workshop, when you’ll have a chance to tell us how you found it.
