This practical training will help you understand and apply for social value in a way that benefits your charity and your communities.
You will learn:
- What social value is and the key terminology
- A short history of social value and how it has evolved
- Why social value is now a "must have" rather than a "nice to have"
- How social value arises and is measured
- The objectives of the Procurement Act and what they mean for you
- The link between social value and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- How to prepare your organisation to receive, evidence, and maximise social value
This event is fully funded for VCSE groups & organisations in Gloucestershire.
Tea and coffee will be provided.

To enable as many groups & organisations to access this course, we limit bookings to two per organisation. If you would like to book more than two spaces, please email bookings@glosvcsalliance.org.uk and we will aim to accomodate individual needs where possible.
