Course Overview:
This masterclass will provide delegates with an introduction to workforce planning as well as providing the opportunity for delegates to explore and reflect on how they lead their organisation to achieve sustainable business success.

Participation:
Targeted at all leaders in small and medium manufacturing businesses who may be established leaders, looking to further their approach, or an aspiring leader of the future who wants to know more about workforce planning and how it impacts business performance. This masterclass links to our Senior Leader Level 7 apprenticeships.

Outcomes: Delegates will leave the session with:

  • an understanding of how people and organisational practices need careful alignment in a workforce plan that supports sustainable business success.

  • a greater appreciation of the importance of the leader’s role in workforce planning.

  • an initial view of how workforce planning currently supports their business.

  • some priorities to personally improve workforce planning in their business.


AGENDA:

9.00am - 9.30am Registration

9.30am - 16.30pm Masterclass with scheduled breaks and lunch


LOCATION: Lancaster University Campus. Specific location and instructions will be confirmed two weeks before the event


Parking on campus before 6pm is charged. A ticket can be purchased from any of the pay and display machines across campus at a cost of £5 for up to 10 hours (£3 on South West Campus). Chip and pin card payment facilities are available at most machines.

This event is presented by the EnginE project, funded by the European Social Fund, and will give attendees the opportunity to register for workforce development support and access to funded training opportunities.
