Unresolved Dreams: Azerbaijan’s Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (...
Event Information
Description
On the occasion of UN World Refugee Day, TEAS Benelux, in conjunction with the VII Photo Agency, presents an exhibition by the legendary US photojournalist, filmmaker and educator Ed Kashi. Ed specialises in highlighting political and social issues, and this led him to point his camera towards the lives of just a few of the estimated one million Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). They are the ongoing victims of the unresolved Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, and this emotionally-charged exhibition encapsulates their plight.
Speakers:
H.E. Fuad Isgandarov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU
Marc Verwilghen, Director, The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS), Benelux Office
Amanda Paul, Senior Policy Analyst, European Policy Centre (EPC)
Ed Kashi, photojournalist, filmmaker and educator
The presentation will be followed by a walking lunch and drinks reception.
