Event description

Description

In partnership with the University of Sheffield, Grimm & Co. are getting unruly with rules!

The Unruly Rules workshop programme will see a group of young people aged 11-13 using the idea of "Rethinking Punctuation" as the springboard for a host of fun, interactive, energetic writing activities.

What's the personality of a full stop? What kind of a character is a question mark? And do the two of them get on with each other? Finally, what boundary-busting new punctuation will humankind need in the future...?!

As the culmination of the workshop programme we'll publish a high quality punctuation pamphlet, to accompany our beloved Devious Dictionary.

The sessions will run from 3.45 - 5.15pm on Thursday 15, 22 and 29 June, and Thursday 6 and 13 July.

The workshop programme will be open to young people aged 11 - 13.

The young people will need to complete a monitoring and diversity form upon first attending Grimm & Co. (for the university) and their parent/guardian/carer will need to complete a consent form (for Grimm & Co.).

A parent or guardian is required to drop your child off at, and collect them from, each of the five sessions.
