About this event

Historian Johnathan Bull takes us on a circular walk climbing up to stunning views over the Grouville flatlands.

Hidden German defences nestle in field edges and driveways within sight of the magnificent Gorey Castle. A German Battery, telephone exchange with a fortified German addition, a stone crusher now converted into apartments and finally a rare German Electricity Transformer station before the return to the parking area.

A walk of 2.5 miles. We will meet at the Lower Queens Valley carpark (below the dam, not the top carpark).

Supported by The Jersey Community Foundation with funds from the Channel Islands Lottery.
