What kind of artists are you looking for?

We’re open to a range of artistic styles and backgrounds, but we're particularly interested in artists with experience in public art, mural work, or socially-engaged practice. If you’re passionate about using art to tell real stories and create impact, we want to hear from you.

Will there be an opportunity to apply for the commission?

Yes. This event is a chance to learn about the commission opportunity and what we’re looking for. Details on how to apply will be shared at the event and available afterward online.

Do I need to prepare or bring anything?

No preparation is needed - just bring yourself, your curiosity, and an open mind. There will be time to ask questions, meet others, and reflect on how your work might connect with the project.

Where is the venue?

The Divine is just a 5 minute walk from Dalston Kingsland station and a 10 minute walk to Dalston Junction Station. Both stations are in the centre of busy shopping area Dalston.

Is the venue accessible?

Unfortunately, The Divine is not yet fully accessible. The team at The Divine is working closely with consultants to assess the necessary upgrades and will begin implementing a plan as soon as the venue is up and running.

What about wheelchair access?

The ground-floor bar at The Divine is at street level with no steps to enter, and the main door is wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. The pavement outside is spacious, providing plenty of room for drop-offs and pick-ups.

Question 8

Are the toilets wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The Divine currently has no toilets on the ground floor. The nearest wheelchair-accessible toilet is at Nando’s, located approximately two minutes down the road at 148 Kingsland High Street.
