Unseen Vauxhall – the Vanished and the Unnoticed

I enjoy showing people not only the major and significant aspects of Lambeth’s considerable historical heritage but also the smaller details, and I unearth the long-forgotten stories that are to be told in the otherwise apparently unremarkable corners within the borough. Have you heard about the man who died laughing whilst waiting for his pint to be poured? It’s not a joke (or a comment on that pub’s service); it happened in 1899.
