This October we begin our descent into winter. It will also usher in the 1st of 3 Supermoons all occurring on the Full Moon's of October, November and December. At this time the moon enters her closest orbit of the earth appearing bigger and fuller, so I thought this an especially lovely time to feel her and her light as we nestle into the dormant, decadent, darkness of winter - remembering that we share this fullness of light in our depth.
October is a bumper month for lunar lovers as there are also two New Moons. The second of these two moons known as the Black Moon can be a wonderful time to set intentions with a little added potency. Let this be a motif for us, for doubling our intentions and looking deeply within ourselves for what we need in our descent. I thought it to be a beautiful opportunity for us all to really ground into Autumn and prepare more sumptiously with our intentions; cradled by this nourishing black of the moon. A time to pack what we need and store what we must preserve for the cold months to come.
As the leaves turn from vibrant greens into copper red and rust orange so too do we begin to turn. As the trees let go of their fullest growth, so too can we begin letting go and prepare to release, rest and cycle back round to renewal when the seasons turn once again. Remembering and honouring that this recuperation and grouding is essential to us a women for coming back into bloom.
The coming season is a time for turnng inwards. We can look to the trees daily to be reminded of how natural and vital a part of our own cycle this is for us. She returns her leaves to the earth; and we can use this time to see what we must release and return to. We can look also to the leaf that falls effortlessly in quiet surrender, having adorned the tree with her beauty, knowing within her russet hues that it is time once more to change.
As women we can use the medicine of the Moon & Mother Nature and her seasons to aid our transitions and transformations as the wheel turns once again. This month we are being called back to seed, to the darkness that can hold us and give us the rest we so deeply need to come back to life again.
So this Month there are two exciting options to choose from:
Untamed will be celebrating the Full Moon on October the 16th where we will come together in ceremony to work more deeply on releasing any thoughts and feelings around turning inwards. Paying particular attention to those needs in us that thrive best in the dark where they can incubate and strengthen before breaking through.
Untamed will also be going Live on October the 30th at 8pm for a beautiful hour of deep intention setting to aid us through the dark months (you will receive a custom link to attend.)
When purchasing a ticket for the Full Moon ceremony you also have access to the Live Stream & for all the women who can't physically attend Untamed in Glasgow the Live Stream is a special and heartfelt offering in response to all who have expressed their desire to be part of Untamed despite the geographic distance.
The October, November and December Untamed Series are also part of a triplet of ceremonies that will celebrate and cultivate this time of rest and release and culminate in December with a beautiful festive feel. They are designed to stand alone or stand beautifully together. Just like us!
This Autumn and Winter your soul care can deepen with Untamed as you come to ground, return to seed, and take sanctuary in the darkness. In this time let us strengthen our roots and use the shorter days and longer nights to renew ourselves deeply and completely.
Things to look forward to:
- Shared altar space (this looks beautiful and unique each time!)
- A Kundalini Yoga Meditation to open the chakras and invoke a sense of bliss
- My favourite blend of Golden Milk to nourish and warm us from within
- Story telling and visualisation to rouse our deepest sense of self
- A new take home song for your inner Goddess (these are written in sync with the the cycles of the moon and the seasons and will form a collection of songs for the women of Untamed)
In song, Clare x
