About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

For survivors trying to rebuild their lives after exploitation, having the support of people who have gone through similar experiences can be life changing. For those providing this support, they get the chance to give back and to stop others from having to go through the same injustices that they have suffered.

Our report identifies the barriers driving the poor levels of representation of people with lived experience of trafficking, modern slavery and migration in the anti-trafficking and advice sectors and explores how to create more inclusive, trauma-informed workplaces and employment pathways for survivors.

This new research was led by Peer Researchers from ATLEU and Voice of Domestic Workers, who all have lived experience of trafficking, modern slavery or labour exploitation and migration.

At this launch event, we will get the chance to hear from them as well as Professor Sundari Anitha, University of Sheffield, who authored the report.

Organised by

ATLEU are the only UK charity providing dedicated, holistic legal support to survivors of human trafficking, modern slavery and forced migration, so they can secure safety, rights, justice and sustainable freedom.

We maximise our impact by sharing our knowledge and partnering with survivors to drive positive systemic change.
