Event description

Description

Untold Stories is the culmination of Nevine Fathy’s work over the past two years studying the subtleties of nonverbal communication and the relationship between the figure and the space it inhabits or abandons. The exhibition features figurative and abstract oil paintings exploring different paint applications where the materiality of the paint tells a subtle story of its own.

The sources of inspiration for Fathy’s subjects are many; observation, imagination, memories, photographs or a combination thereof. She captures fleeting moments telling stories otherwise untold, exploring the notion that the range of human emotional experiences remains universal despite the vast variety of cultural influences.

Fathy is a London based Egyptian artist. She studied Art Vision at the American University in Cairo, attended short courses at the Plymouth University of Art and obtained her fine Art Diploma at the Art Academy in London. She participated in several exhibitions in Egypt and the UK and currently teaches at the Art Academy in London.
