Join us for a one-day symposium exploring darkness’s revolutionary and subversive potential as a space for alternative practices and power renegotiation beyond daytime norms. Inviting PhD researchers, academics, and practice-based researchers to contribute to important discussions surrounding darkness in their research and practice.

Keynote lectures will be given by Dr. Jacqueline Yallop (Aberystwyth University) and Dr. Arun Kumar (University of Nottingham).

Dr. Jacqueline will also be organising a Creative Writing workshop, ‘Looking into the Dark: ways of writing the dark around us’ . Please bring something you feel comfortable writing on, such as a notebook, journal, or laptop, for the workshop. No prior creative writing experience required.
