Event description

Description

The University of Leeds’ second Student Sustainability Conference will be taking place on Thursday 8th February, 2018. The overarching theme for this year is ‘Shaping the Future’, bringing together students, staff, businesses and members of the public to experience the diversity of undergraduate and postgraduate work which reflects aspects of positive social, economic and environmental development.

Building from last year's conference, this is an event not to be missed; an opportunity to experience the latest sustainability research and projects taking place at Leeds, to network, collaborate, develop meaningful contacts, and broaden your understanding of disciplines and the challenges faced in a changing world.

The conference will consist of an all day poster exhibition in Parkinson Court, along with breakout monring and afternoon oral presentation sessions, and lunchtime workshops. Expect to see updates from local projects on campus as part of the Living Lab programme, research taking place across the Leeds city region, and wider national and international sustainability projects having impacts across the globe.

A full programme of the day's events will be made available in the weeks up to February.

This is a free event and open to all, however spaces are limited so be sure to register in good time!
