Event description
Open sessions for University of Manchester students to help shape our equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.

About this event

This is your chance to help shape the future of equality, diversity and inclusion at our University.

The University of Manchester will appoint a new Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the coming months. Ahead of this, we are consulting students and staff across the University on our new equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and action plan.

These online sessions are for current students who want to have their say on this area of our work. Your input will help us create a strategy and action plan that reflects the values and needs of people across our University.

Our Interim Head of EDI, Mehrunnisa Lalani, and Vice-President for Social Responsibility, Nalin Thakkar, will introduce the sessions. Then the group will split into smaller breakout rooms to discuss your thoughts and what you’d like to see in our future strategy and plans. A member of our EDI team will be on hand to answer any questions and assist your discussion.

You only need to attend one of these sessions. To register, click the orange 'select a date' button on this page. Everyone who registers will receive a link to the Zoom meeting closer to the date.
