UOW Film Society Presents In Association with Holder Films / LPE Films: "ONE NIGHT MORE" + "PARTY ANIMAL"

UOW Film Society is proud to present, In Association with LPE Films & Louis Holder Films - the London Premiere of "ONE NIGHT MORE", an ambitious micro-budget independent feature film, with development and pre-production commencing in Early 2016 and filmed over the course of Summer by a large mixture of first-time filmmakers and experienced professionals, from different backgrounds. The film stars emerging stage & screen actors Abigail Morgan and Amir Ebrahim, and features an ensemble of cameo performances, including John McInnes who featured in feature films DECLINE OF AN EMPIRE with Peter O'Toole and NARCISSISTS with Jack Hawkins and Kevin Mathurin.

We'll be screening short comedy-drama film; Party Animal before One Night More. Party Animal is a short independent co-production with Westminster Film School. The film was shot on-location in Merseyside, and features a host of established and emerging talent including Heather Carter-Drake (THE FIFTH ELEMENT, EYES WIDE SHUT, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE), Filmmaker/Actor Jason Imlach, Laura Brailsford, Freddie Merrydown, Blu Hardy and introducing Michael Oku as Finley.

Party Animal: Synopsis

A university student's first meeting with his in-laws turns from awkward to diastrous when he accidentally kills their pet dog at a Christmas party.

One Night More: Synopsis

An aspiring photographer has a chance encounter with a street performer who finds it challenging when his girlfriend's aspirations overwhelm his own insecurities.

It's a story of inner-city romance set in iconic London, and how two people can meet and change each others lives. We explore the complex relationship between an aspiring photographer and a dancer. The film gives a negative and perhaps melancholy perspective on love and attraction and how people at the end of the day just might not be attracted to one another, and must learn how to move onto the next thing; whatever that might entail.

The story isn't trying to say anything big or new in regards to romance other than subverting 'the young ideal' of being in a relationship which sees no lasting potential for the sake of fitting in.

About The Film

ONE NIGHT MORE, is an ultra-micro budget feature film shot in twelve days across London. The project's primary intention was to showcase a unique blend of emerging talent on a large-scale production, and to encourage other creatives to collaborate. The concept originally entailed a 'no budget' feature film to be made, however through the enthusiasm of the Cast & Crew onboard, we were able to raise £5,000 through a mixture of Indiegogo and Private Funding.

You can read more about the making of the film on One Night More's official website, and read the official cast and crew list here.

Director's Note

"We wanted to make a film that would inspire as many filmmakers as possible to make films, No matter the budget, limitations, even story; make something and surround yourself with a team you love. With this project, undoubtedly we were venturing into an unprecedented amount of work involved, but it was a risk that was well worth taking. I'm so happy to see some of the people onboard already making other films, and that our production has spawned those connections and opportunities - for us on One Night More, that was always at the heart of what we set out to do."
