Discover the magic of natural colour at our Roots to Renewal Workshop at Doncaster Gallery, Library and Museum!
Join Bex from Plantaura and Estelle from Fashion Fusion for a hands-on, creative morning in the Paddington Room.
During this free, Awards for All-funded event, you’ll explore the vibrant world of natural dyes using plants grown in DGLAM’s newly created Colour and Tea Garden. Learn accessible techniques like bundle dyeing and tie dye to create unique textures and patterns, all while upcycling unsaleable clothing and textiles kindly donated by Age UK Sheffield and Cusworth Hall. Whether you’re new to natural dyeing or looking to expand your skills, this workshop is a perfect opportunity to experiment, connect, and make something beautiful and sustainable.
As part of this workshop, you’ll have the chance to create garments that could be featured in our upcoming community fashion show. Whether you’d like your piece displayed or you’re excited to walk the catwalk and showcase your creation yourself, we welcome everyone to take part and celebrate sustainable fashion together
We have two available sessions
Monday 22nd September 10.30-1.30pm
Monday 20th October 10.30-1.30pm
Spaces are limited, so book your free place and be part of a creative movement that’s making a difference in Doncaster and beyond. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!
