About this event
In this workshop, we will explore a wide array of reclaimed materials and mentalities through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to make mini-zines that help you create sustainably 🌿
Using salvaged materials destined for landfill, we’ll demonstrate how repurposed paper can become a powerful storytelling tool. You’ll learn accessible techniques to transform discarded scraps into something fresh, expressive, and meaningful.
Expect a relaxed, collaborative environment where experimentation is encouraged. We’ll provide all materials (rescued and reclaimed) so you can dive into the process guilt-free, proving that sustainable making is not only possible but creatively rewarding.
Come and be inspired by the potential of forgotten materials. Let’s rethink waste, reclaim creativity, and craft something new together!
We are releasing a range of ticket price options in the hope that everyone will be able to take part. There are a limited number of each ticket option available, therefore we kindly ask that you do an honest assessment of your affordability to ensure the intended equal access.
Here's a guide to help inform your choice:
✴️ £10 (covers some of our costs) – I am a student, unemployed, on benefits, financially stressed, or regularly struggle to meet my basic needs
✴️ £12 (covers most of our costs) – I am employed, have some expendable income, and manage to meet my basic needs
✴️ £15 (covers all of our costs and supports future workshops) – I am employed or have enough savings to comfortably meet my basic needs
Cut Out Club is a series of collage zine-making workshops open to all experience levels which put community, collaboration, and creative collage exploration at its core. All workshops have a distinct theme that encourages attendees to reflect and meaningfully create. We are currently in partnership with St Margarets House, London.
To learn more about what we do, download our free printable zine (with instructions!) here.
Cut Out Club is managed by Tasch of Assemblage Collective and Iona of DeZiners who co-facilitate each session.
Frequently asked questions
Our workshops are open to all experience levels, and our aim is always to guide you gently through the process of zine-making to ensure a pressure-free environment where you can fully immerse into your creative zone.
We will provide all the materials you need, but we welcome you to bring along any extra materials you feel would enhance your zine-making experience or outcome. Please be mindful of the 'upcycled' theme and avoid bringing single-use items.
Every envelope is different, so you'll have to come along to find out what's in yours [wink]
