Upcycling competition- show us your skills and win a £100 voucher
Mon 19 October 2015, 19:00 – 20:00 BST
Upcycling is a fine art and we would like you to show your skills by finding an innovative way to upcycle an old chair. Your work will be judged by interior designer Linda Barker on Saturday 14 November at the official opening of the Second Time Round reuse shop at King’s Road Reuse and Recycling Centre (RRC) . To take part in the competition and receive your prize you are required to have the upcycled chair ready for collection by 10 November 2015 and attend the official opening and judging event on 14 November 2015.
We are looking for six individuals or community groups to enter the competition. To express your interest, you need to fill in a valid entry form in line with the competition’s conditions of entry by 10am on 19 October 2015. The contestants will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis and will be provided for free with a used chair and invited to up-cycle it.
The chair will be provided by LondonWaste LTD and will be delivered to and collected from your designated address free of charge. The winner will receive a £100 Hobbycraft gift card voucher, have the winning chair signed by Linda Barker and have their chair displayed in the shop. Each valid entry will receive a £20 Hobbycraft Gift Card credit voucher and £10 Second Time Round credit voucher to acknowledge the effort.
