Upcycling Workshop: Make Your Own T-Shirt Yarn

Ready to turn old clothes into something completely new?

Join us for a fun and eco-friendly upcycling session using T-shirt yarn—a great way to reuse textile waste. Beginners can make simple macramé plant hangers, while those with crochet or knotting experience can try their hand at baskets or small bags. Make something for yourself, a loved one, or donate your creation back to New-U to help us raise funds at our next craft market.

• Learn new upcycling and crafting techniques
• Connect with a friendly, creative community
• Help reduce textile waste while having fun
• No need to book—just pop in and get creative!

All materials provided. Open to all ages and skill levels.

We’ll be using textile waste from our very own pre-loved clothing shop, giving a second life to items that can’t be resold. All tools and materials will be provided, but if you’ve got a favourite old T-shirt that’s past its best, feel free to bring it along and re-love it into something brand new.
