Dr Devaki R Nair is a Consultant Chemical Pathologist and Clinical Lead for Clinical biochemistry Royal Free hospital and North Middlesex University Hospital.
Dr Nair graduated from Madras Medical College in India before moving to the UK to finish her post graduate training at the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead, London.
Dr Nair was appointed as a Consultant Chemical Pathologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry in 2002. She is now the Director of the Royal Free Hospital familial hypercholesterolaemia advice centre and is also the Clinial Lead for Lipids and Cardiovascular Risk Prevention.
Dr Nair specialises in familial hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidaemia, and cardiovascular disease risk factors in South Asians. She has received an Innovation Fund Award to set up cardiovascular clinics in a faith-based setting.
