About this event

On 28 July, the Product Regulation and Metrology Act came into force opening the door for the UK to take a fresh look at how it regulates the safety of machinery.

In response, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has launched a Call for Evidence to help shape the future framework.

If your business designs, manufactures, imports, or uses machinery, this is your chance to hear directly from the policymakers regarding the future of product regulation in the UK.

Make UK is enabling this exclusive opportunity to hear directly from OPSS.

This event will:

  • Introduce OPSS and its role as the UK’s national product regulator
  • Outline the Product Regulation and Metrology Act
  • Provide insight into the current Call for Evidence and its objectives
  • Enable members to engage directly with the policy leads at OPSS

Who would benefit from event attendance?

This event is particularly valuable for professionals working in:

  • Product compliance
  • Design engineering
  • Manufacturing operations
  • Legal/regulatory affairs
  • Anyone responsible for ensuring machinery safety

Please note, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you have any questions regarding the event, please email smcgregor@makeuk.org.
