Upholstery Class: Make Your Own Footstool

Join Susannah as she guides you to create your own footstool from scratch in this EXCLUSIVE workshop!

A footstool is a practical and versatile piece of furniture that enhances comfort by allowing you to elevate your feet, which can improve posture and reduce strain on the lower back and legs. It offers health benefits like better circulation and joint support, especially during long periods of sitting. Additionally, footstools can serve as storage, extra seating, or decorative accents, making them both functional and stylish additions to any room.

It is not always possible to match fabric with other soft furnishings so why not create your own! Create a footstool that perfectly matches your room decor!

What do I need to bring?

The cost of £195.50 is for the course and the footsool kit. Please bring your own fabric to finish your footstool. Choose a colour/design to fit with your interior design! You’ll need a meter of a standard fabric width (137cm). When choosing a print, consider how the print will fit onto your footstool.

Your finished footstool will be 440mm x 320mm approximately (these measurements are based on the size of the frame).

This course will run on the following dates:

16/02/2026, 09:00 - 16:00

17/02/2026, 09:00 - 16:00

You must be available for both sessions to complete this project.

There will be an hour lunch break on each day.

What do I need?

Please bring your chosen fabric with you along with the following:

• An apron to protect your clothes
• A pen and notepad to document your progress
• Closed toe shoes
• Your lunch and a water bottle - alternatively, you can leave the centre during your lunch break!

Hot drinks will be available during these sessions.

Please note that we run all of our courses based on a minimum number of attendees, in the unlikely event we need to cancel, we will let you know as soon as we have made the decision. As such we are unable to offer refunds to anyone who cancels within 48 hours of the course taking place. We thank you for your understanding.
