Have you often thought you would love to have a go but are unsure where to start? Or have you tried your hand at upholstery and would like to develop your skills to the next level? I would be delighted to welcome you to one of my friendly and welcoming one day workshops.
During the day you will learn how to make and upholster a lovely footstool from scratch to take home with you on the day (everything will be provided for you apart from a 1 metre piece of fabric which you would need to bring with you).
You will be able to choose the feet (height and style) from a selection (provided) for your footstool and you will be able to paint or wax them in a colour/shade to complement your fabric from the wide range of beautiful colours in our chalk paint Re-Colour range/wax range.
Please don’t worry if you are a complete upholstery novice! I will start from the beginning and explain all about the tools required, the materials to use, about the pros and cons of different fabrics and provide advice on the best and most competitive retailers.
Alternatively if you have dabbled a little in the wonderful craft of upholstery already, but want to develop your skills and progress to a slightly higher level, then this is the course for you. The numbers are kept small (6 to 8) to allow for one-to-one instruction for much of the time during the day.
Each workshop will run from 10am to 3pm with lunch break and plenty of coffee/tea/cake in between – Mum’s delicious homemade cream scones and gorgeous cakes are becoming rather renowned among workshop attendees!
Everything you will need for the workshop will be included (apart from your fabric)
