Upper Derwent Valley Handcycle Ride
Thu 30 March 2017, 11:00 – 15:00 BST
This is an 11 mile circular handcycle ride around the Upper Derwent and Howden Reservoirs in the Derwent Valley. The ride is hilly in parts and the route surface varies between tarmac, gravel, rocky and muddy so a reasonable level of handcycling experience and fitness is required.
We will be meeting at 11am at:
Peak District National Park Visitors Centre
Parking is free with a Blue Badge and there are disabled toilets and a café that sells hot food and drinks at the Visitors Centre. For further information please visit: http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/visiting/visitor-centres/derwent
We will be riding for 3 - 4 hours so please ensure that you bring a suitable rucksack with drinks, snacks and appropriate clothing. The weather in the Peak District can change very quickly so waterproof clothing is essential.
Experience Community CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we ask that individuals support our work through making a donation to cover the cost of our work even if they bring their own equipment.
Thank you for your generosity!
