Event description

Description

This event will bring together two key players in the urban food development agenda.

Jorge Fonseca (from the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations) is involved in the development of FAO's urban food agenda and has recently facilitated the process that has led to the inclusion of food in urban planning for Habitat III.

Stefania Amato was appointed by the Mayor of Milan to manage the process that has led to the signing of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact by 130 cities. She is currently facilitating the Food Systems Network that has been recently established by C40 as part of its Urban Planning and Development Initiative.

Professor Paul Milbourne, Head of the School of Geography and Planning, Cardiff University will open the event, which will be introduced by Professor Roberta Sonnino. Professor Kevin Morgan will chair the final debate.

This event is one of a series of events that are part of the School of Geography and Planning's Impact and Engagement programme.
