Event description

Description

The School of Sociology & Social Policy at the University of Leeds has created Sociology In Action – a collaborative programme which aims to build an active and mutually beneficial community of local organisations, students and academics who work together to encourage social change.

During 2016/17, Leeds City Council, CATCH, Foundation, Leeds Jewish Welfare Board, Citizens Advice Leeds, Forum Central, West Yorkshire-Finding Independence, Leeds Community Foundation, Leeds Muslim Youth Forum, PATH Yorkshire, Home Start, SNAPS, Health for All and Your Back Yard teamed up with Sociology In Action to draw on the combined expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge of these partners and students to develop and deliver projects that make a positive contribution to all our lives.

Hosted by Leeds City Council and Sociology In Action, this event showcases these projects and the associated research and findings. We invite you to join us to celebrate partnership work across the city of Leeds and also provide an opportunity to discuss future collaborations.

This event is for anyone who is interested in third sector, university, public sector and private sector collaborations to enable city wide improvement.
