Urban Nature Day is back and better than ever! Join UK Youth for Nature on the 27th of September at Paddy Freeman's Bowling Pavilion, Newcastle for an exciting day of workshops, panel discussions, talks, and more as we celebrate nature in our cities.
We have a range of activities planned for the day, including:
- Urban foraging walk around the local area
- Ecology Workshop
- Positive change panel
- Seed ball making workshop
- Banner making workshop and talk
- Political campaigning: How to effect change at a community level?
- Evening event: Pub drink and draw from 7pm!
UK Youth for Nature is a network of 16-35-year-olds from across the UK, calling on the government to act on the nature crisis. We specialise in creative campaigns that facilitate positive conversations between young people and decision makers. During our urban nature day we will be showing you how you can engage with Newcastle city council to ask them to stop spraying pesticides on our street.
*Any age group is welcome although please be aware that this event is targetted towards 16-35-year-olds. Under 16s must bring a parent or guardian.
