Event description

Description

Raising Gabdho Foundation is building communities through Art and Culture by organizing the Urban Refugee Youth Dialogue. The Art and Culture project is built from a background that a number of Urban Refugee and host community youth engage in performing arts activities as a source of livelihood. They engage in music, dance and drama, art, trade and other economic activities to better their lives within the urban setting, however few have the knowledge to maximize the benefits of their talents and efforts. The Art and Culture project is aimed at evaluating the role of art and culture in rebuilding communities, bridging the gap between Refugee ,host community youth and actors in the performing arts industry.

The Dialogue will bring together different stakeholders to discuss the challenges that the urban refugees who have an interest in art and culture as a source of livelihood are facing. They will be able to interact with fellow successful refugees, government officials, Organizations that provide support to their talents, and personalities from the art, music and culture industry.
