Event description
Join this FREE Urban Science event to discover sustainability contexts for delivering working scientifically using your school grounds.

About this Event

We will explore approaches to carry out simple biodiversity surveys, explore UV light, and insulation. You will get hands-on practice with each of these, as well as a set of equipment and schemes of work to use back at your school.

This training session is made possible through the Urban Science project which is creating a suite of ten learning modules to deliver practical science linked to sustainable cities and climate change. The Urban Science learning modules offer teaching across the GCSE range and integrate with curriculum targets.

Delivered by Urban Science

This includes support for a number of GCSE ‘Required Practicals’-for example ‘Biodiversity’ and ‘Insulation’.

Refeshments will be provided

This training is one of a series of events described as ‘one of the best CPD events I've attended!’ (Rob Butler, ASE)
