As the first Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith is plotting a new path for transport in the region.
Since becoming Mayor, he has signed a new White Rose Agreement with the Mayors of West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire on issues such as rail connectivity and bus services; pledged with English Mayors to create a national active travel network; and announced that York and North Yorkshire will be among the first in the country to pilot a bus franchising model.
Join the Mayor for a special conversation where he’ll discuss his vision for transport across York and North Yorkshire.
