Description
We are celebrating Urban Trees through an Urban Tree Festival over the weekend of the 18-20 May 2018.
Urban Tree Talk is an opportunity for people who have supported the Festival, as well as those working in encouraging, planting and in urban tree husbandry, to come together and share their enthusiasms. A "show and tell" of their expereince, knowledge and stories and their aspirations about urban trees.
The Urban Tree Festival wouldn't have happened without the tremendous support from more than 70 crowd funding contributors, and generous match funding from Trees for Cities. The organisers would like to thank those contributors as well as seeking their support in making Urban Tree Festivals happen again in future years.
If you have something to say about urban trees and would like to share your knowledge, expertise and stories then this is an opportunity for you - simply sign up for the event and complete this Get in Touch form to describe what you want to talk about. We would like to offer 5 minutes short talks at the very least - 10 slides with 30 seconds per slide - but we may be able to accommodate longer presentations.
Just want to come along and listen, and jostle with the Urban Tree Festival in-crowd? We wanted the event to be free to attend, but give the option to those who wanted to, to make a donation. However, Eventbrite will not allow people to book without making a donation of at least £1. So we will give a £1 to everyone who books through Eventbrite (a shiny £1 coin on the day). We are sugesting to those of you who didn't contribute to the Urban Tree Festival crowdfunding campaign to make a donation of at least £5 to attend or £10 to present. This will help us cover venue costs and possibly have surplus for refreshments!
If you are a crowdfunding contributor, there is no need to book / register but please let us know you are coming - email us at talkingwalking@museumofwalking.org.uk
