Urban Trees by Duncan Goodwin

Duncan Goodwin will discuss some of the social, environmental and economic services provided by urban trees, the threats faced by them and some evidence-based guidance on tree selection, specification and placement to help ensure productive establishment.

Duncan is a horticulturist, arboriculturist and landscape architect, with over 30 years of horticultural, landscape design and construction experience, working in landscape construction, commercial nurseries, botanical and public gardens and landscape architecture consultancy. He is an Associate Director with Capita Lovejoy and a Senior Lecturer in the Architecture and Landscape Department at the University of Greenwich. His book, The Urban Tree is due to be published by Routledge in April 2017.

When:

6.30 for 7pm, Wednesday 10 May 2017 (1 hour lecture with 30 minutes questions) We kindly ask all attendees to leave by 9pm

Light refreshments will be available on arrival, kindly provided by Marshall's

Marshalls Design Space, Unit 4, 1st Floor, Compton Courtyard, 40 Compton Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1V 0BD (ten minute north of Barbican station or east of Farringdon), Look for the big timber doors. Press 4 on the keypad then call, this will let you in to reception, we are on the 1st floor in Unit 4.
