Urban Water Management Workshop - Anglian
Wed 12 April 2017, 10:00 – 15:00 BST
Managing water in our towns and cities is a key challenge for many organisations. Collaboration and working in partnership can provide a wide range of benefits that can help tackle issues of flooding and poor water quality. Other benefits can also be incorporated with good design such as creating attractive and safe open spaces for people to visit and enjoy and natural places for wildlife to thrive.
This workshop will focus on approaches being developed in the Anglian region and elsewhere to evaluate how to best to integrate water management with wider planning, land use and community involvement. It provides an opportunity for Local Authorities, Catchment Partnerships, Community representatives and others to actively contribute towards how we manage water across our urban environment to achieve a range of sustainable improvements and associated benefits both now and in the long-term.
