US Election Special - The Global Vote with Simon Anholt
Tue 8 November 2016, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT
The Presidential election for the United States of America is confirmed for November 8th, 2016. This is the most important election of the decade not just for the US but for the children and young people of tomorrow too.
Come and join Simon Anholt talking about The Global Vote at our US Election Special and get the chance to cast your vote whilst doing "GOOD" for Norfolk's young people.
Simon Anholt is an independent policy advisor who has worked to help develop and implement strategies for enhanced economic, political and cultural engagement with other countries. At this event he will be talking about the Good Country Index and The Global Vote
He is the founder of Good Country and the Good Country Index which measures what each country on earth contributes to the common good of humanity, and what it takes away, relative to its size. Good Country was launched in his TED talk in June 2014.
In 2016 he founded the Global Vote which for the first time enables everyone in the world to vote in other countries' elections based on what the candidate will do for the rest of humanity and the planet.
“For the first time in History anybody on earth can vote in the election of any country on earth” The Global Vote does not count in the country’s actual election but it can ascertain how other countries view what a candidate will do for the world beyond the country’s borders.
All proceeds go towards providing opportunities for young people in Norfolk.
