Event description

Description

SelectUSA is the United States government program to promote and facilitate business investment in the U.S.

This September we invite you to join us in a roundtable discussion bringing together a range of speakers to discuss and share practical information for businesses that are currently exporting to the U.S. or are interested in setting up a presence in the vast marketplace opportunity the U.S. represents.

Topics that will be discussed at this event include:

• How do current economic uncertainties impact the future U.S.-UK transatlantic relationship, and what does this mean for Scottish companies?

• Why, when and how should companies consider moving from an export to an investment strategy in the U.S. marketplace?

• How may Scottish businesses, associations, and government agencies engage with U.S. states, cities and regions to grow their U.S. relationships?

The event will include insightful discussion and opinion from Susan A. Wilson, Principal Officer at U.S. Consulate General Edinburgh, John Simmons, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at U.S. Embassy London, Liz McAreavey, CEO at Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, and Duncan McNeill-McCallum, CEO at Vioearth Holdings Ltd.
