Join us for this online collaborative day workshop to learn the key principles of 'User-Centred Design' & 'Design Thinking', how you can apply these principles to your innovation developments and how this can be presented to funders.
The first collaborative event of its kind includes; University of Exeter - Smartline Project, University of Plymouth - EPIC Project, Falmouth University - Launchpad Outreach Project and South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications. Join us to learn from experts and innovators at the forefront of this funders fundamental methodology for innovation development.

Who is it for?
This online workshop is FREE and open to all. We are particularly keen to work with self-employed individuals, micro-businesses, CIC's, Charities and SMEs based in Cornwall.

Workshop Partners:
Smartline Project - is a collaboration between the University of Exeter, Coastline Housing, Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Council and the South West Academic Health & Science Network. We are a research project aimed at exploring how technology can help people to feel healthier, happier and more connected.
Launchpad Outreach - is a fully funded business support programme initiated by Falmouth University. Modelled on the methodology that underpins our Launchpad Entrepreneurship MSc, the programme will help you explore the validity of market opportunities, build prototypes and develop new products, services or processes.
EPIC Project - eHealth Productivity and Innovation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (EPIC) is a collaborative and interdisciplinary project. Led by the University of Plymouth’s Centre for Health Technology, EPIC centralises the valuable input from a variety of stakeholders across the eHealth ecosystem in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to strengthen the innovation network and help to bolster sustainability.
South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications Catapult - supports industry and science to accelerate the growth of satellite applications in ehealth and wellness, marine, mining and natural capital sectors. Through business engagement and advocating user-centred design, we offer support by linking the science base with SMEs and large industries to enable the development of applications, products and services.
