Event description
Right now, there are 95 vacant User Research roles in the Manchester area. Find out what User Researchers do and if this could be for you

About this Event

So, what does a User Researcher actually do?

"Among other things, it takes curiosity, discipline and practice to become a good user researcher. You have to be interested in people and how they behave. Why did someone do that? Why are they clicking there? What is going through their mind and what is motivating them? You need to be curious about those questions." Ollie Francis

This role is crucial to the success of any new service. The User Researcher works with the users of a service -- this can be customers, colleagues, members etc., asking open ended questions to uncover needs, behaviours and motivations. This information is then used by the team to ensure that whatever is being created fits the users' needs.

There is a shortage of User Researchers in the region. On 26th September, a Google search revealed 95 vacant User Research roles in Manchester alone. Many of these are junior/entry level.

In this FREE workshop, you will get to try out the role of User Researcher - hands on, in a friendly, open, diverse and inclusive environment.
