About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Overview

Pete Donnelly has been using a wheelchair for 19 years and teaching wheelchair skills for 17 years. He places a huge value on the skills that he uses on a daily basis to get around in his wheelchair and believes that the confidence and independence gained from learning these skills have enabled him to achieve the things he has, whether that be building a career or travelling the world. This is what lead to Pete setting up The Wheelchair Skills College with the aim of making sure all wheelchair users get access to the vital skills they need to get around.

In this session, Pete will talk about:

  • Types of wheelchairs
  • What are wheelchair skills
  • Getting around using your wheelchair
  • Q+A
