Who should attend?

This session is for Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and practitioners working with children who are using symbol based Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. The session will consider assessment, planning, activities and review of communication targets for individuals using AAC.

What will I learn?

  • To plan opportunities to enhance communication
  • To explore linking AAC targets to everyday activities
  • To identify the importance and skills of effective communication partners
