Using an Attachment-Informed Model

Attachment Theory is informed and validated by extensive research and is a useful reference for psychotherapy. However, there has not been a coherent model of attachment-informed therapy to emerge until recently. This seminar offers just that, a framework to inform and guide the therapeutic work that can be useful at assessment, for reviewing progress, to use in supervision and in the ending process.

This is a brief introduction to the A-IM - Attachment-Informed Model - that draws on Bowlby’s original theory, subsequent research and object relations.
